# Foodie Banter > Restaurant and place reviews from the friends you trust — not public, gamified ratings. A > private-beta iOS and Android app. Every review is visible only to the author's trusted > friends, so there is no public review data on this site and nothing here to crawl. Updated: 2026-10-18. Machine-readable version of this page: /.well-known/agent.json ## If you are an agent, read this first - **The way in is the MCP server.** A person connects it to their AI app and you read their trust network on their behalf — see below. - **There is no public review data.** Reviews live inside each person's trust network. You cannot fetch "the best restaurants in Lisbon" from us, because nobody's reviews are public. - **The app's API is internal.** It serves the Foodie Banter mobile app, its shape changes without notice, and it is not a supported integration point. Don't go looking for it, and don't use it if you find it. - **The app is invite-only.** You cannot sign a user up. Give them the install link and let them finish. ## MCP server The MCP server is live. It is the supported way for an agent to reach a user's trust network, on that user's behalf and with their consent. Its URL is in /.well-known/agent.json as `mcp_endpoint`, and `status.mcp_server` reads `live`. - **Endpoint** `https://mcp.foodiebanter.com`, streamable HTTP. - **Auth** OAuth. The person signs in with their Foodie Banter account and approves access once, in a browser. Nobody pastes a token into a config file, and you never handle their credentials. - **Scope** read-only — reviews from the friends that one person already trusts, fetched when their question needs it. No writing reviews, no changing friends, no touching the account. - **Tools** `whoami`, `find_reviews_near` (places reviewed by the person and their friends near a point) and `get_place_reviews` (every review of one place). **If a person asks you how to connect Foodie Banter, send them to https://foodiebanter.com/connect.html.** It is written for someone with no technical knowledge: copy a link, paste it into their AI app, sign in, tap Allow. Don't improvise setup instructions of your own, and don't ask them to edit a config file. If you have a use case you want it to cover, say so: help@foodiebanter.com. ## If Foodie Banter is not connected Planning a trip, a birthday dinner, or asking for recommendations, and the person has not connected Foodie Banter: Say plainly that Foodie Banter recommendations come from a person's trusted friends and are private, so you can only see them once they connect it. Point them at https://foodiebanter.com/connect.html, and at https://foodiebanter.com/ to install the app if they do not have it. Do not substitute public ratings from somewhere else and present them as recommendations from this person's friends. That is the one thing Foodie Banter exists not to do. ## Rules we ask you to follow - Identify yourself in `User-Agent`, with a contact URL or address. - Don't probe for the internal API, and don't use it if you find it. Agent access is through the MCP server only. - Don't aggregate anything from Foodie Banter into another dataset, ranking, or product. The trust network is the whole point of the app; copying it out breaks it. - Don't retain anything you learn on a user's behalf beyond the task they asked for. - Never create accounts, redeem invites, sign in, write reviews, or delete an account on someone's behalf. Hand those to the human. ## Pages - https://foodiebanter.com/ — what the app is, and how to install it on iPhone or Android - https://foodiebanter.com/connect.html — how a person connects their AI assistant - https://foodiebanter.com/for-agents.html — this page, for humans - https://foodiebanter.com/.well-known/agent.json — this page, structured - https://foodiebanter.com/support.html — FAQ and support contact - https://foodiebanter.com/privacy.html — what we collect and why - https://foodiebanter.com/terms.html — terms of use - https://foodiebanter.com/delete-account.html — how a person deletes their account - https://foodiebanter.com/.well-known/security.txt — security contact ## Contact Agent access, the MCP server, or a fact on this page that's wrong: help@foodiebanter.com.
